Trump Rates live updates: Trump to meet with Giorgia Meloni from Italy

The governor of California Gavin Newsom and Attorney General Rob Bonta announced Wednesday that California is demanding to the Trump administration to block the president’s rates.

In the fourteenth demand of the State against administration in less than 14 weeks, Newsom and Bonta argued that tariffs are the responsibility of the Congress and claimed that Trump invented false national emergencies to claim jurisdiction.

In response, the White House spokesman Kush Desai, said in a statement to ABC News that “instead of focusing on the unbridled crime of California, the lack of housing and the lack of affectation, Gavin Newsom is spending his time trying to block the historical efforts of President Trump to finally address the national emergency of commercial deficiencies of persistent assets of our country.”

“The entire Trump administration remains committed to addressing this national emergency that is decimating the United States industries and leaves our workers with each tool at our disposal, from rates to negotiations,” he continued.

Newsom also announced that he is investigating his own trade agreements with other countries, trying to make the products made by California exempt from the reprisal rates of other countries.
