The smoke of hundreds of forest fires in Canada is covering the heavens in the west, leaving millions with dangerous breathing conditions.
Minneapolis, Chicago and Detroit were classified into the 10 main main cities in the world with the worst air quality on Friday morning.
Air quality alerts are in force in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan, as well as parts of Nebraska and Missouri.

Meanwhile, the northeast is being cleaned after heavy rains flooded the Interesta 95 corridor from New York City to New Jersey to Maryland on Thursday night.
One or 4 inches of rain fell in the region, with 6 inches of rain in isolated areas, which leads to numerous warnings of sudden flooding.
During the apogeo of the storm, the rain closed sections of the main roads of New York City and suspended some services in Long Island Rail Road and New Jersey Transit.

On Friday, the risk of floods changes to the south to Carolinas and Texas.
In the Carolinas, the strong showers and the storms will arrive on Friday afternoon and will continue during the night. Rain rates of up to 2 inches per hour are possible.
