A woman has been critical after suffering injuries in a residential fire that involved active fireworks to which more than 100 firefighters responded, authorities said.
The incident occurred just after 9 pm in the neighborhood of Pacoima de los Ángeles, California, when the authorities say that three houses were showing fire when the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to “active fireworks inside a separate garage are exposing more houses and brushes in the area”, according to the information obtained from LaFD by ABC News Kabc Angeles Station.
“I felt almost like the impact, you feel it. And as soon as I heard that, I directed the street to see if someone needed help and more fireworks began to sound,” said a resident of an area. Kabc. “It felt as an explosion … the fireworks began from and sooner or later all these fires began to come.”
A 33 -year -old woman was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition, a 68 -year -old woman suffered smoke inhalation, but rejected transport to the hospital and several animals were injured, according to the Lafd.

More than 100 firefighters were needed to fight the fire and contain it in a little less than an hour, according to the LAFD.
A fourth house and a car were also damaged in the fire and researchers at LaFD Hazat and Arson, along with the LAPD bomb team and the mayor’s crisis team, responded to the scene.
